Keep your brand consistent: a simple brand kit for small businesses

Why your visiting cards, letterheads and calendars should share the same colours, fonts and logo, and how to set up a brand kit in five minutes.

Big companies look professional partly because everything they print looks like it belongs together: the same logo, the same two or three colours, the same fonts. You can do the same without a design agency.

What a brand kit contains

  • Your logo, ideally as a PNG with a clear background
  • Two or three colours: a main colour, a second colour and a highlight
  • Two fonts: one for headings, one for text
  • Your details: business name, tagline, phone, email, website and address

Choosing colours

Start from your logo. If your logo is blue and orange, those are your brand colours. Use the main colour for large areas, the second for headings and the highlight sparingly. Make sure text stays readable: dark text on light backgrounds, or white on dark colours.

Set it up once on our website

Our brand kit takes five minutes: upload your logo (we pick the colours from it), type your details and choose fonts. Then on any product press Apply my brand and every design fills itself in with your logo, colours and contacts.
